NH3 gG 630A/500V fuse link is an element designed for reliable protection of electrical installations against the effects of overloads and short circuits. Its construction and parameters have been adapted to operate in demanding industrial conditions, ensuring stability and long-term operation. This fuse link, manufactured by ETI Polam, is compatible with fuse bases and fuse disconnectors of size NH3.

Characteristics and application

The gG (general purpose) fuse has excellent performance in protecting cables and electrical equipment. The time-delay characteristic allows for short-term exceeding of the rated current, which is particularly important when starting devices with electric motors – avoiding unnecessary circuit disconnection. The rated current of 630A and the voltage of 500V AC make it suitable for use in medium and large industrial installations. Additionally, the presence of a double tripping indicator (red eye and spring blade) facilitates quick identification of a blown fuse, both visually based on the fuse base and the disconnector.

Construction and product features

The construction of the fuse is based on a body made of durable steatite – a material characterized by high thermal stability. The knife contacts made of silver-plated brass ensure low transition resistance and minimize the risk of overheating. Aluminum covers guarantee corrosion resistance, and the filling of the body with quartz sand of special granulation increases the short-circuit switching capacity to 120kA. Thanks to this, the fuse effectively protects the circuit against the effects of sudden current surges. The combined indicator (double) ensures easy and reliable identification of the operating status of the fuse, which translates into faster problem diagnosis and minimization of downtime in the installation.
