Characteristics and functionality

The SV 116 switch is not only a circuit disconnecting element – it is also a device performing the functions of a main, safety and repair switch. Its construction allows for the use of overcurrent releases (DA ETIMAT 10) and auxiliary contacts (PS ETIMAT 10), which allows it to be adapted to the specific needs of the installation. The rated continuous current at 16A and the rated conditional short-circuit current of 2kA provide effective protection against overloads and short circuits. The degree of protection IP20 protects against touching live parts and the ingress of solid objects with a diameter greater than 12mm.

The device construction is based on frame clamps, which ensure a secure and durable connection of wires with a cross-section from 1 mm² to 25 mm². The red lever makes it easy to identify the device status, and the "ON/OFF" marking further increases comfort of use. The switch also has an optional overvoltage release, which allows for additional protection of the installation against overvoltages.
