Isolating switch 25A SV 225 002423222
Isolator switch – reliable disconnection in the installation
This two-pole isolating switch SV 225 with a rated current of 25A is a key element of every electrical installation where safe and reliable disconnection of the circuit is required. It will work both in residential distribution boards and in more demanding industrial applications. Its design allows it to be used as a main switch or an individual circuit breaker.
Functionality and application
The SV 225 isolator switch is designed to operate in installations with a voltage of up to 400V and a current of 25A. It does not have built-in overcurrent protection, so it is ideal for places where protection is provided by other devices (e.g. circuit breakers). The ability to seal the lever in the ON/OFF position provides additional safety and prevents accidental switching on or off of the circuit. This allows the installer to be sure that the device will remain in the desired position.
- Versatility: Can function as a main switch, safety switch and repair switch.
- Mounting: Adapted for mounting on TH35 rail, which facilitates and speeds up installation.
- Safety: The possibility of sealing the lever guarantees setting stability and minimizes the risk of errors.
- Compatibility: The possibility of mounting additional auxiliary contacts (PS ETIMAT 10) and overcurrent releases (DA ETIMAT 10) increases the functionality of the device.
- Durability: Made of high-quality materials, ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation.
Construction and characteristic features
The isolator switch is characterized by a solid construction of a permanently mounted device. It has frame terminals for connecting wires with a cross-section from 1 mm² to 25 mm². The degree of protection IP20 provides protection against touching fingers and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. The red lever facilitates visual identification of the switch status – red color indicates the off state. Additionally, the present contact position indicator allows for unambiguous determination of whether the circuit is open or closed. The possibility of double connection of the insulating busbar (top and bottom) gives flexibility during installation and adaptation to specific installation conditions. The rated conditional short-circuit current Iq is 2kA, which ensures resistance to the effects of short circuits in the installation.
