Liquid level relay – reliable monitoring and control

This universal HRH-5/UNI relay is designed to monitor liquid levels in tanks, wells or cisterns. The device offers configuration flexibility, allowing it to function as a simple level switch with control of one or two levels. This makes it suitable for both simple applications and more advanced automation systems. The relay uses alternating current for measurement, which minimizes the risk of liquid polarization and oxidation of the measuring probes, ensuring long-lasting and reliable operation.

Functionality and flexibility in operation

The HRH-5/UNI relay stands out for its ability to select pumping-up or pumping-down function, allowing it to be adapted to the specific needs of the installation. In addition, sensitivity adjustment in the range of 5-100 kΩ allows for precise setting of the device to the conductivity properties of the monitored liquid. Setting the output reaction delay (0.5 - 10 seconds) minimizes the risk of unwanted activations caused by fluctuations in the liquid surface. A measurement frequency of 10 Hz further protects against liquid polarization and corrosion of the measuring probes.

Construction and mounting

The device, with a width of 18 mm, height of 90 mm and depth of 65 mm, is designed for mounting on a DIN EN 60715 rail. It has clamp terminals for easy and secure connection of wires. It is equipped with a single switching contact (AgNi) with a load capacity of 8A / 250 V AC1, which ensures compatibility with various control circuits. The device's power supply is galvanically isolated in the range of UNI 24..240V AC/DC, which increases safety. Thanks to its compact size and solid construction, the relay can be easily integrated with existing electrical infrastructure. Remember that the device has a protection class of IP40 on the front panel side and IP10 on the terminal side – this should be taken into account when installing in environments exposed to moisture.
