The C characteristic allows it to react more slowly to short current surges, so it tolerates starting such devices well. The rated voltage of 400V and a wide frequency range (50-60Hz) make it a universal solution for most standard installations. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity at 20kA at 230V and 400V guarantees effective disconnection in the event of a short circuit.
