Protection and application

This two-pole circuit breaker with B13 characteristic is designed to protect circuits with a rated current of 13A and a voltage of 400V. The B characteristic means that the circuit breaker reacts quickly to an increase in current, which is particularly important in circuits with resistive loads or low inductance. This ensures a quick intervention in the event of a short circuit, minimizing the risk of damage. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity (Icn) is 10kA at 400V and 230V, and Icu according to IEC 60947-2 is 15kA at 400V and 230V – which guarantees safety even in the event of high short-circuit currents.

Installation and design features

The ETIMAT 10 circuit breaker has been designed for easy mounting on a TH35 rail. Its width is 2 modules, which allows for efficient use of space in the switchgear cabinet. The IP20 degree of protection provides protection against accidental contact, but does not protect against water ingress. The possibility of connecting wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² (solid or stranded) provides flexibility when choosing wires suitable for a specific circuit. Additionally, the circuit breaker allows for double connection of the insulating busbar – from the top and from the bottom – which facilitates installation and configuration. The ambient operating temperature is in the range of -25°C to +55°C, which allows it to be used in various environmental conditions.
