Residual current circuit breaker EFI-4 A 100/0.03 002062150
Residual Current Device (RCD) is a key element of every electrical installation, ensuring the safety of people and equipment. The EFI-4 A 100/0.03 model is a four-pole device, designed to protect against electric shock and to safeguard against the effects of insulation damage. Its function is to quickly disconnect the circuit in the event of a leakage current being detected, minimizing the risk of hazard.
This RCD is used in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks, where effective protection against indirect and direct contact is essential. Thanks to its type A sensitivity, it reacts to both alternating currents and pulsating DC currents, making it a universal solution for a wide range of applications. Use in installations powering devices sensitive to interference is particularly recommended.
Construction features and operating parameters
The RCD is mounted on a DIN rail, which facilitates its integration with the existing electrical infrastructure. Compact dimensions (4 module width) allow for efficient use of space in the distribution board. The rated current of the device is 100A at a rated voltage of 400V, allowing it to protect circuits with higher power consumption. The short-circuit strength of 10 kA guarantees reliable operation in the event of a short circuit.
Additionally, the RCD has an indicator of the main contact position, which makes it easy to visually check the status of the device – whether it is on or off. Secured connection terminals minimize the risk of accidental contact with live parts. The ability to seal the lever further increases safety and prevents unauthorized changes to the device status. The cross-section of solid and stranded wires is from 1 to 25 mm², which provides flexibility when selecting power cables. The device operates in an ambient temperature range from -25°C to 55°C, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor applications (provided appropriate protection is ensured).
Applications and benefits
Protection of people: Provides effective protection against electric shock in the event of contact with damaged or uninsulated live parts.
Protection of equipment: Protects electrical equipment from damage caused by overvoltage or short circuits.
Compliance with standards: Meets the requirements of IEC/EN 61008 standards, guaranteeing safety and reliability.
Easy installation: DIN rail mounting simplifies and speeds up installation.
High quality: Automated production line ensures high quality of workmanship for each RCD and repeatability of parameters.
Expandability: The ability to mount additional accessories (auxiliary contacts, releases) allows you to adapt the functionality to individual installation needs.
Product information: Each RCD has a QR code with technical and production data and measurement test results – this facilitates identification and servicing of the device.
