Safety and reliability in your electrical installation
Residual Current Device (RCD) EFI-4 AC 80/0.03 is a key element ensuring the protection of people and devices in electrical installations. The device is designed to quickly disconnect the circuit in the event of a leakage current, minimizing the risk of electric shock and preventing damage caused by short circuits or overloads. Mounted on a DIN rail, it offers a solid and proven construction, ideal for both professional installers and demanding users.
Functionality and application
The RCD EFI-4 AC 80/0.03 finds application in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks. Its main task is to protect against the effects of electric shock - both direct and indirect contact. Thanks to its AC sensitivity, the RCD effectively reacts to alternating currents, making it an ideal solution for protecting circuits with a resistive-capacitive nature. The rated current of 80A allows for the protection of circuits with higher power consumption, and the ability to install additional accessories expands its functionality.
Construction and parameters
The RCD is characterized by a compact design - it occupies 4 modules on a DIN rail, and its mounting depth is 68 mm. This ensures easy installation even in limited space of the switchboard. Conductors with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² can be connected both solid and stranded. The device operates in an ambient temperature from -25°C to 55°C, which guarantees reliable operation in various environmental conditions. The short-circuit strength at 10 kA provides protection of the device in case of a short circuit in the installation. The degree of protection IP20 protects against accidental contact with live parts. Additionally, the RCD has a neutral pole on the right side.
- Rated current of 80 A allows for the protection of circuits with higher power consumption.
- Differential current of 30 mA provides effective protection against electric shock in case of direct contact (additional protection).
- AC type means that the RCD reacts to alternating currents, ideal for circuits with devices of a resistive-capacitive nature.
- Number of poles is 4 (3P+N), which provides comprehensive protection of the entire circuit.
- DIN rail mounting facilitates integration with the existing electrical installation.
- Operating temperature in the range of -25°C to 55°C guarantees reliability in various environmental conditions.
- Flexibility in cable selection thanks to the possibility of connecting cables with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm².
