Residual current circuit breaker - short-time delay EFI-4 A G/KV 25/0.03 002062747
Residual Current Devices (RCDs) are a key safety element in any electrical installation. The EFI-4 A G/KV 25/0.03 model, with a rated current of 25A and a sensitivity of 30mA, provides effective protection against electric shock and protects devices from damage caused by short circuits and overloads. It is designed for use in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks, where separation of neutral and earth conductors is essential.
This four-pole RCD type A G/KV is characterized by a short tripping time, which is particularly important in circuits exposed to sudden surge currents. The design taking into account the G/KV characteristic makes it ideal for protecting circuits with high inrush current – for example, those with electric motors. This ensures that the device does not switch off unnecessarily when starting devices, while still providing full protection in the event of a failure.
Construction and mounting
The RCD is designed for mounting on a DIN rail (TH35), which simplifies and speeds up installation. Its compact dimensions (depth 68 mm and width 4 modules) allow it to be placed even in tight distribution boards. The connection terminals allow the connection of conductors with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm², both solid and stranded. Additionally, the terminal design allows the use of insulated busbars both at the top and bottom of the device.
Application and compliance with standards
The EFI-4 A G/KV 25/0.03 RCD meets the requirements of IEC/EN 61008 and ÖVE E 8601 standards, which guarantees its reliability and safety of use. It is a universal solution for both domestic and industrial installations. It provides fire protection in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-482 and IEC 60364-4-482 standards, protecting cables and conductors in TN and TT systems from the effects of short circuits and overloads. The rated residual current value (30mA) provides effective additional protection against electric shock from direct contact with live parts.
Additional features include an indicator of the main contact position to facilitate identification of the switch status and the ability to seal the lever in the "On" or "Off" position, preventing accidental changes to the settings. Short-circuit strength at 10 kA and surge current withstand of 3 kA ensure reliable operation in difficult operating conditions.
