Functionality and application
The KZS-2M A B16/0.01 circuit breaker is used in TN-S, TN-C-S, TT and IT networks where the neutral and earth conductors are separated. It protects against the effects of direct and indirect contact with live parts and against fire caused by insulation damage. Its main task is to quickly disconnect the circuit when a leakage current of 0.01A (sensitivity A) is detected, minimizing the risk of electric shock. In addition, the B tripping characteristic provides effective protection against overloads and short circuits, reacting quickly to sudden current increases, but allowing for short-term surges associated with the starting of devices with a motor.
Construction and technical parameters
The circuit breaker is designed for mounting on a TH35 rail (standard DIN rail) and occupies 2 modules. Its housing with dimensions of 69 mm deep provides a compact solution, ideal even in limited space of the switchboard. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity is 10 kA, which guarantees effective disconnection of the circuit in the event of a serious short circuit. The device has a protection degree of IP20, which means protection against touching with a finger and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. The possibility of connecting conductors with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² (solid or stranded) provides flexibility during installation. It is equipped with a disconnectable N pole simultaneously with the phase pole for increased safety. A test button allows for regular checking of the functionality of the residual current device, and the contact position indicator facilitates identification of the device status (on/off).
