Residual Current Circuit Breaker KZS-2M is a reliable device that combines the functions of protection against electric shock and overcurrent protection. Characteristics and Construction

The KZS-2M circuit breaker is characterized by a rated current of 16A and a rated voltage of 230V. It has a C tripping characteristic, which means it is resistant to short-term current surges – which is particularly important when connecting devices with motors (e.g. refrigerators, washing machines). The rated differential current is 0.3A, and the AC sensitivity ensures effective protection against alternating leakage currents. Energy limitation class 3 guarantees adequate resistance to fault energy. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity is 10kA – a parameter important for ensuring safety in the event of serious failures.

The use of terminals allows the connection of wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm², both solid and stranded. It is equipped with a test button that allows regular checking of its correct operation and a contact position indicator to facilitate identification of the device status (ON/OFF). Additionally, it has terminal protection against accidental contact and the possibility of sealing the lever in the on or off position – which increases safety and prevents unauthorized changes to the settings. The possibility of mounting auxiliary contacts PS KZS-2M/4M (available separately) expands the functionality of the circuit breaker with additional possibilities of signaling the device status.
