Functionality and parameters

The KZS-2M AC C40/0.03 circuit breaker is designed to operate in AC (alternating current) networks and is characterized by a rated current of 40A and a sensitivity of 0.03A. Characteristic C provides delayed tripping with short-term overloads, which is particularly important when connecting devices with electric motors or other loads with high inrush current – it will not cause unnecessary disconnection of the circuit when starting such a device. The rated short-circuit breaking capacity of 10kA guarantees effective protection in the event of a short circuit.

The two-pole (2P) design with the possibility of simultaneously disconnecting the N pole provides complete circuit protection. A width of 2 modules allows for efficient use of space in the distribution board. The ability to connect wires with a cross-section from 1 to 25 mm² provides flexibility when selecting supply wires. The degree of protection IP20 means that the device is protected against finger contact and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm – standard protection for devices mounted inside distribution boxes.

Ease of use and installation

Equipped with a test button, it allows regular checking of the functionality of the residual current circuit breaker, which is crucial for ensuring continuous protection. The contact position indicator makes it easy to quickly identify the device status (ON/OFF). Secured connection terminals minimize the risk of accidental contact with live parts. The terminal design allows mounting of insulated busbars both at the top and bottom, which facilitates and speeds up installation. The ability to seal the lever provides additional protection against unauthorized switching on or off of the device. Additionally, auxiliary contacts PS KZS-2M/4M can be mounted to extend the functionality of the circuit breaker.
