The MEDIA ECT24PO MEDIA/EMPTY surface-mounted enclosure is a specialized solution designed for the central placement and protection of electrical and multimedia cables in apartments and single-family houses. It serves as the foundation for modern installations, integrating electrical power functions with telecommunications and television networks.

The product is designed as an empty enclosure, meaning it does not include factory-installed components, providing full freedom of configuration according to the user's individual needs. This allows for a perfect fit for specific installations—ranging from simple solutions to advanced smart home systems.

Construction and technical parameters

The enclosure is made of plastic in white, ensuring an aesthetic appearance that harmonizes with modern interiors. The dimensions of 361×287×112 mm allow for the comfortable placement of telecommunications equipment while maintaining a compact form.

The design meets protection class II, which means reinforced insulation without the need for a connection to a protective conductor. The IP40 protection rating protects against access to hazardous parts and against the ingress of solid foreign objects and/or water, as specified by the EN 60529 standard.

The device operates within a voltage range of 400V AC with a rated current of 63A, making it suitable for most residential installations. The operating temperature ranges from -25°C to +60°C, and the glow-wire test was conducted at 650°C.

Application and configuration possibilities

The enclosure is equipped with a perforated mounting plate, which enables the installation of various telecommunications equipment—from routers and TV signal splitters to RJ45 or fiber optic sockets. Special mounting holes allow for precise leveling of the device during installation.

The door is made of white plastic and features a latch closure, which can be additionally secured with a key lock (available as an accessory). This is particularly important when it is necessary to restrict access to network devices or security systems.

The design allows for easy installation expansion thanks to standard dimensions that fit the ECT enclosure series. The enclosure is also available in a flush-mounted version for users who prefer the aesthetic concealment of the device within the wall.

Compliance with the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive ensures the correct operation of all connected devices without mutual interference, which is crucial for the stability of modern multimedia systems.
