The surge protector ETITEC C T2 275/20 3+0 RC is a key element of a system protecting against the effects of lightning strikes and surges in electrical installations. Design and application

The device is designed for mounting on a TH-35 mm DIN rail and occupies 3 modules in the distribution board. Its design based on varistor technology guarantees a quick and effective response to surges. The T2 class surge protector protects against the indirect effects of lightning strikes and against surges generated by internal devices. Designed for TN-C network systems, it offers comprehensive protection for circuits with a voltage of 230 V. The ability to connect wires with a cross-section of up to 35 mm² (stranded) or 25 mm² (flexible) ensures compatibility with various types of installations.

Functionality and signaling

The surge protector has optical indication of operation, allowing for quick identification of damage and the need for replacement. Additionally, it is equipped with a remote signaling contact, enabling integration with monitoring and alarm systems. The protection level of 1.5 kV effectively limits the surge voltage to a safe level for connected devices. The rated discharge current of 20 kA (8/20 μs) provides protection against strong surge pulses, and the maximum discharge current reaches as much as 40 kA.
