The device combines functions of maintaining lighting after passing, signaling the upcoming shutdown, and protection against accidental blocking of the switch. Comfort and safety in one device

The AS-222T timer operates on a momentary switch (bell push). After activation, the lighting remains on for a time adjustable between 0.5 and 10 minutes. Before complete shutdown, the lighting brightness is reduced by half for about 30 seconds – this prevents sudden darkness and gives time to safely reach the switch. Additionally, the anti-blocking function prevents permanent blocking of the switch (e.g., with a match), automatically turning off the lighting after the set time and allowing re-activation after removing the blockage. Shutdown signaling is realized by gradually dimming the lighting, informing the user about the upcoming shutdown.

Installation and compatibility

The AS-222T staircase timer is mounted on a standard DIN rail and powered by 230V AC. It is designed for a load of up to 16A (maximum switching capacity for incandescent bulbs: 1500W, for fluorescent lamps: 350VA/650VA with compensation). It is important to remember that the timer is not compatible with fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps, and illuminated switches equipped with electronic ballasts. The device has screw terminals for connecting wires with a cross-section of up to 4 mm². Its compact dimensions (2 modules) allow for easy installation even in limited space of the switchboard.
