Auxiliary contact – expanding the functionality of the installation

This auxiliary contact, designated ST-2NO, is a reliable solution for expanding existing contactors. It allows you to add two normally open (NO) contacts, which increases the control and signaling capabilities in the circuit. It is an element dedicated to both professional installers and end-users looking for a flexible solution in the field of automation.

Construction and application

The ST-2NO contact is mounted on a standard 35 mm rail, which facilitates its integration with existing systems. Compact dimensions – only 9 mm wide – allow for efficient use of space in control cabinets. Screw terminals allow connection of wires with a cross-section of 1.5 - 2.5 mm², and a tightening torque of 0.8 Nm ensures a secure and durable connection. The 2 × NO configuration means that the contact opens the circuit after the control signal is activated, which is typical for signaling functions or safety interlocks.

Parameters and safety

The ST-2NO auxiliary contact has been designed for reliable operation in demanding conditions. It withstands impulse voltage up to 4 kV and insulation voltage of 500 V AC. It meets the requirements of the PN-EN 60947-5-1 standard, which guarantees its compliance with European safety and quality standards. Designed to operate at temperatures from -5°C to 50°C, maintaining stable operating parameters over a wide range of ambient temperatures. The contact load capacity has been selected to ensure safe operation in various applications: AC-12 (240 V AC): 5 A, AC-15 (230 V AC): 2 A and DC-1 (130 V DC): 1 A. Protection class IP20 provides protection against finger contact and against the ingress of solid objects larger than 12.5 mm.
