Bistable relay, flush-mounted with timer, for illuminated buttons BIS-410
Bistable relay for intelligent lighting control
The BIS-410 bistable relay is an ideal solution for controlling lighting from multiple points, e.g. at the entrance to a room or from different sides of the bed. It allows convenient switching on and off of the light using parallel-connected buttons, and the built-in timer adds functionality and energy savings. Thanks to its compact size and flush-mounting, the BIS-410 relay integrates perfectly with the interior design.
Functionality and application
The BIS-410 relay is designed to work with traditional buttons, as well as popular backlit buttons. It allows you to control various types of loads – from traditional light bulbs, through fluorescent lamps, to modern LED light sources. Thanks to the ability to set the switch-off time, it can be used to automatically turn off the light in rooms such as corridors or stairs. A short press of the button turns on the light for a specified time or until pressed again, while a long press (minimum 2 seconds) permanently turns on the circuit – an ideal solution where constant lighting is needed.
Technical specifications and installation
The BIS-410 relay operates at a voltage of 165÷265 V AC and allows a maximum current load of 16 A. It has one normally open contact (1NO) and is designed for mounting in a flush-mounted box with a diameter of 60 mm. Screw terminals allow easy and safe connection of wires with a cross-section of up to 2.5 mm². The device is characterized by low power consumption (0.7 W) and a wide operating temperature range (-25 ÷ 50 °C). It should be remembered that the relay does not have a memory state – after a power failure, the contact returns to the off position. When connecting a large number of backlit buttons, caution should be exercised to avoid unwanted switching on of the lighting. In situations requiring switching of large surge currents, the use of an external contactor is recommended.
