Bistable relay, flush-mounted, for illuminated buttons, flush-mounting BIS-408
Bistable relay BIS-408 is an ideal solution for controlling lighting or other devices from multiple points, using parallel-connected buttons. It works particularly well with backlit buttons, offering convenience and functionality in modern electrical installations. The device is designed for flush-mounting, ensuring an aesthetic appearance and discreet placement in the wall.
Features and application
The BIS-408 relay operates on the principle of a pulse – the receiver is switched on after a short press of any connected button, and switched off after the next pulse or power failure. This characteristic makes it a great choice for lighting control systems in rooms where it is necessary to switch lights on and off from several places, e.g. in corridors, stairs or bedrooms. The BIS-408i version is designed to work with receivers with high inrush current, such as LED lamps, ESL compact fluorescent lamps or electronic transformers.
Advantages and benefits
- Versatility: Possibility of control from multiple points using parallel-connected buttons.
- Compatibility: Seamless cooperation with backlit buttons – an ideal solution for modern installations.
- High reliability: Solid construction and precise workmanship guarantee long-lasting and trouble-free operation.
- Safety: Overload and short-circuit protection (maximum switching current 8A).
- Easy installation: Designed for mounting in a standard flush-mount box with a diameter of 60 mm.
- Power consumption: Low power consumption in standby mode (0.15W) and during operation (0.7W) translates into energy savings.
- Wide supply voltage range: The relay operates in the range of voltages 100-230V AC, ensuring compatibility with various electrical installations.
The BIS-408 relay has one normally open contact (1NO) and is adapted to a maximum load of 16A (AC-1) or 3000W for traditional bulbs and 750VA for fluorescent lamps. Screw terminals allow connection of wires with a cross-section of up to 2.5 mm². The device operates in a wide temperature range from -25°C to +50°C and has a protection class of IP20. It should be remembered that the relay does not have a state memory – after a power failure, the contact returns to the off position.
