Microprocessor phase failure sequence sensor CKF-319-TRMS
Advanced three-phase motor protection – phase sequence and loss sensor CKF-319-TRMS
This microprocessor-based phase sequence and loss sensor is designed to reliably protect electric motors powered by a three-phase network. Its task is to monitor the presence of all phases and detect irregularities such as voltage loss in one or more phases, phase-to-phase voltage asymmetry, or incorrect phase sequence. This is crucial for protecting the motor from damage and ensuring its proper operation.
The CKF-319-TRMS sensor utilizes TrueRMS technology, which guarantees precise voltage measurement even in disturbed power networks. This ensures stable and reliable operation of the device, regardless of the power supply quality. Use in industry, workshops or construction provides peace of mind and minimizes the risk of downtime caused by motor failures.
Functionality and application
The device offers comprehensive protection, monitoring not only the presence of phases but also their sequence. If an irregularity is detected, the sensor switches off the motor with a delay of 4 seconds – this is sufficient time to avoid accidental disconnection during momentary voltage drops. Automatic restart occurs after the correct power parameters are restored. Additionally, the sensor prevents the motor from starting if the phase sequence is changed, protecting it from rotating in an unwanted direction.
- Phase loss protection: immediate reaction to the absence of one or more supply phases.
- Voltage asymmetry control: detects uneven phase loading, which can lead to overheating and motor damage.
- Phase sequence control: prevents the motor from starting with an incorrect phase sequence, protecting it from mechanical damage.
- TrueRMS measurement: ensures accurate measurements even in networks with harmonic disturbances.
- Adjustable operating time: possibility to adjust the shutdown delay to specific application needs (1-10 seconds).
Construction and mounting
The CKF-319-TRMS sensor is characterized by a compact design with dimensions of 18 x 98 x 69 mm and surface mounting. It has screw connections allowing easy connection of wires with a cross-section of 0.5 - 4 mm². LED indicators inform about the status of power control and any alarms. The device does not require an external power source and is ready to operate immediately after connection to the three-phase network (voltage range 150-280V). This makes installation quick and easy for both professionals and less experienced users.
