Intelligent energy management with EPM-621
The EPM-621 power relay is a bidirectional active electrical energy meter designed to monitor and control energy flow in single-phase networks. The device allows for precise tracking of both energy drawn from and delivered to the grid, which is particularly important in installations with renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic panels. This enables optimal use of generated energy and cost reduction.
Versatile application and functionality
The EPM-621 relay offers four operating modes, configurable via switches: test (ON), export power control (EXP), import power control (IMP), and power control regardless of flow direction (I/E). When the set power threshold is exceeded, the relay contact closes, and when it falls below the threshold – it opens, enabling automatic load control. This solution works both in home photovoltaic installations and in energy consumption monitoring systems in commercial buildings.
Compact size and easy installation
With a width of only 18 mm, the EPM-621 occupies only one module on a 35 mm rail, making it easy to integrate with existing electrical infrastructure. The device is characterized by high reliability and durability, and the IP20 protection class provides protection against touch and dust. The relay has 2.5 mm² screw terminals with a tightening torque of 0.4 Nm, ensuring a secure connection of the wires. The device's power consumption is only 0.8 W.
The relay is characterized by a maximum load current of 16 A, allowing it to control most standard household loads. The measurement range of 0÷2 kW allows monitoring of energy consumption in typical installations. The device is compatible with various electrical networks thanks to the supply voltage range of 80÷265 V AC. A fast response to load changes is ensured by the operating time of 1 s, and the return hysteresis of 5% prevents relay contact oscillation when approaching the threshold value. Compact dimensions – 18 mm (width) x 90 mm (height) x 65 mm (depth) – facilitate mounting in limited space. The device can operate in a wide range of ambient temperatures from -25 to 50 °C.
