Integration module with F&Home RADIO system

This module, known as rH-EQ3HUB, is a key element connecting the F&Home RADIO server with eQ-3 MAX! devices. It enables control and monitoring of the heating system, ensuring comfort and energy efficiency. Thanks to it, up to 8 eQ-3 MAX! devices can be connected to a single module, making it an ideal solution for both smaller and larger installations.

Functionality and application

The rH-EQ3HUB module is used for two-way radio communication at a frequency of 868 MHz. It provides a reliable connection in open space at a distance of up to 350 meters. An LED indicates the operating status, making diagnostics and configuration easier. Thanks to the ability to monitor the connection with the server, the installer can quickly respond to potential range problems. The module has a byte output informing about possible errors – failure or loss of range – allowing for proactive problem solving.

Installation and configuration

The module is easy to install thanks to its design intended for connection to an electrical outlet. Registration in the system is done by pressing and holding the button on the housing until the LED starts to glow continuously. This process takes about 5 seconds. A short press of the button activates the waiting mode for registering another eQ-3 MAX! module, signaled by a flashing LED for 30 seconds. It should be remembered that adding more HUBs increases the risk of collisions during data transmission. Installer settings, such as the delay in signaling loss of range or the method of reporting errors (standard or alarm), are configured in the configuration program of the F&Home RADIO system.

Technical data

The module is powered by 230V AC voltage with a tolerance of -20%/+10% and consumes less than 1W of power. It operates in a temperature range from 0°C to +45°C and humidity up to 85% (without condensation). Its compact dimensions (40 x 78 x 60 mm without antenna) allow for discreet installation. The IP20 protection class provides protection against touching with fingers and against solid objects larger than 12.5 mm. The module can be mounted in any position thanks to the universal housing designed for an electrical outlet. The net weight of the device is 96g and with packaging 133.3g.
