GSM Communication Module for Smart Home

This communication module, known as mH-MRG, expands the capabilities of the F&Home system with remote control via mobile phone and SMS messages. It enables convenient management of devices in the building, regardless of location. This solution is ideal for both users who value comfort and installers looking for flexible integration options.

Functionality and application

The mH-MRG module combines GSM, Bluetooth and RF radio communication, offering a wide range of control possibilities. Thanks to a dedicated JAVA application (compatible with most mobile phones), you can use your smartphone as a remote control for the F&Home system. In addition, by sending simple SMS messages, you can turn receivers on/off, check the status of circuits or run predefined scenes. The built-in RF radio enables communication with wireless actuators, although a fully wireless installation is not recommended due to system limitations. The module allows for GSM number authorization, which ensures security and prevents unauthorized access to the system.

Installation and integration

The mH-MRG module is mounted on a DIN rail adapter, which facilitates its installation inside the distribution box. It communicates with the F&Home system touch panel via the CAN network. For proper operation, three antennas (GSM, Bluetooth and RF) must be connected and routed outside the distribution box. The module is powered by a 24VDC power supply common to the entire F&Home installation in a given distribution box. The module has 16 inputs and is compatible with other elements of the F&Home system. The module width is 5 DIN modules. The IP20 protection degree provides protection against touching fingers and foreign objects with a diameter greater than 12.5 mm – remember to provide appropriate protection against moisture and dust in the installation environment.
