Power limiter for use with inverters, DIN rail mounting OM-632
Power limiter for use with current converters
The OM-632 power limiter is a device designed to automatically disconnect the power supply to an electrical circuit in the event of exceeding the set power consumption value by the receivers. It is particularly useful in circuits powering devices with so-called current converters, such as compact fluorescent lamps, electronic transformers, or LED lamps. This protects the installation from overload and potential failures caused by these specific receivers.
Functionality and application
The device allows normal power supply to the circuit as long as the total power of the receivers is below the set threshold. Exceeding this threshold causes the power to be disconnected, which will be automatically restored after a certain time – if the power consumption is still too high, the disconnection cycle will repeat. The limiter has a delay in operation (1-2 seconds), which prevents accidental shutdowns caused by short-term power surges. This solution is ideal for use in residential buildings, offices, or commercial facilities where energy consumption control and electrical installation protection are important.
Construction and installation
The OM-632 limiter is mounted on a standard DIN rail, which facilitates its installation in electrical switchboards. Compact dimensions (2 modules – 35 mm) allow for efficient use of space in the distribution cabinet. The device is characterized by adjustable power setting in the range of 200-2000 VA, which allows for precise adjustment to specific needs and load characteristics. The lack of a socket and detachable terminals ensures a durable and reliable connection to the electrical installation.
