RS-485 to LAN (TCP/IP) converter - replacement for discontinued ATC-1000 MAX-CN-ETH-485
RS-485 to LAN (TCP/IP) Converter – Access to Serial Port from Anywhere
This converter allows easy access to devices with an RS-485 interface via Ethernet (LAN) and the TCP/IP protocol. It is an ideal solution for both professional automation system installers and end-users who need remote access to their devices. The converter acts as a serial port server, meaning it allows communication with the RS-485 device as if it were directly connected to a computer.
Universal Application and Compatibility
The MAX-CN-ETH-485 converter is a direct replacement for the discontinued ATC-1000 model from F&F, ensuring seamless replacement in existing installations. Thanks to support for TCP/IP, UDP and DHCP protocols, the converter is compatible with most operating systems and networks. The ability to expose the IP address on the Internet allows access to the device from anywhere in the world.
Functionality and Ease of Use
The converter has a DB-9 male connector for the RS-232 side and a 6-pin terminal for RS-422/485 and power. The 10/100TX network interface provides a stable connection to the Ethernet network. If you need to restore the factory settings, simply use the RESET button – turn off the power, unscrew the housing, press and hold the button located near the RJ45 connector while turning the power back on for at least 5 seconds.
- Easy integration: The converter is simple to configure and install, which translates to time and cost savings.
- Remote access: Allows monitoring and control of RS-485 devices from anywhere with internet access.
- Wide compatibility: Support for popular communication protocols ensures cooperation with various systems and devices.
- Reliability: Solid construction guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation.
- Transmission speed: Supported transmission speed is 9600 kBit/s.
- Two-way communication: Provides full two-way communication between the RS-485 device and the Ethernet network.
- Power supply: The converter operates at 9-24 V DC, and a mains adapter is included.
