The STR-R rain sensor is a reliable device that automatically reacts to precipitation. Its main task is to detect rain and send a signal to shutter or awning controllers, allowing them to automatically close in deteriorating weather conditions. This simple but effective solution protects both shutters and awnings from damage, as well as the interior of the building from dampness.

Functionality and application

The STR-R sensor works with STR-3 and STR-4 shutter controllers, creating a complete automatic closing system. It operates in two modes – continuous and pulse – giving the user the ability to adapt the operation to individual needs. In continuous mode, the shutters remain closed for the duration of the precipitation, while in pulse mode they close for a short time (approx. 1.5 seconds), allowing for later manual control.

Sensor installation is quick and easy – it can be mounted using screw holes or adhesive tape. Compact dimensions (55x50x13 mm) allow for discreet installation on the outside of the building. The high degree of protection IP65 guarantees resistance to weather conditions, and the supply voltage of 100÷265 V AC ensures wide compatibility with the electrical installation.
