Smart blind control module

This relay module, mH-RE4 from F&F, is a key element of the F&Home smart home system, designed for convenient control of up to four blinds. It enables independent management of each blind, providing full control over shading in your home. This solution is ideal for both new installations and modernization of existing home automation systems.

Functionality and safety

The mH-RE4 module has been designed with safety and reliability in mind. Built-in protections protect the blind motors from damage:

• Blocking simultaneous up/down activation: Prevents overloads and mechanical damage to the motor.

• Time delay: Eliminates the risk of immediate change in the motor's operating direction, which extends its lifespan.

• Arc suppression circuit: Minimizes sparking at the relay contacts, reducing interference in the electrical network and increasing the durability of the device.

Additionally, LEDs on the housing indicate the current operating status of each channel, making diagnostics and system control easier. The load capacity of each channel is 8A, allowing control of most standard blind motors available on the market.

Installation and integration

The mH-RE4 module is mounted on a DIN rail in the electrical distribution box – it takes up 6 modules. Communication with the F&Home system is via a CAN bus, which ensures a stable and reliable connection. Blind control can be performed centrally by the F&Home control unit, using touch panels or a mobile application. The ability to integrate with other system elements allows for the creation of advanced automation scenarios – e.g., automatic lowering of blinds at sunset or in the event of motion detection.
