Single-channel Wi-Fi relay 230V for outdoor installations

The single-channel Wi-Fi 230V relay Wi-R1S1-H controls a single electrical circuit in a hermetic IP65 enclosure. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor building use - from garages and basements to garden gazebos or outdoor lighting points.

The device works with classic switches as well as bell push switches, enabling control of lighting, sockets, or other receivers with a power of up to 16A. The relay is equipped with a separated NO output contact, adapted for loads with high inrush current - particularly important for modern LED lighting.

Operating parameters and safety

The relay operates in a wide supply voltage range of 165÷265 V AC, consuming only 2W during active operation or 1.2W in standby mode. The control pulse current is less than 1 mA, making it compatible even with the most sensitive control systems.

An operating temperature of -30÷45°C and humidity up to 90% (non-condensing) allow for installation in difficult industrial or outdoor conditions. The built-in thermal protection automatically protects the device from overheating during prolonged loads close to the maximum.

The enclosure made of halogen-free thermoplastic in gray (RAL 7035) ensures the durability of the construction.

Advanced control functions

Control is carried out via a dedicated mobile application or timers, with the possibility of programming scenarios using online calendars. The user can set automatic lighting on/off at specific times, garden watering schedules, or presence simulation during trips.

The device supports voice control via Google Assistant, allowing commands such as "Turn on the garage light" or "Turn off all devices". Data transmission takes place via the standard Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz network, and the built-in battery-backed clock guarantees the correct operation of schedules even during a temporary loss of internet connection.

Additionally, REST API support is available, which allows for the integration of the relay with external home automation systems - from simple scenarios to advanced installations.

Construction and installation

The compact enclosure with dimensions of 88×64×30 mm houses all necessary components and ensures easy surface mounting using standard mounting elements. Screw terminals with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² allow for secure connection of wires without the need for specialized tools - the tightening torque is a standard 0.4 Nm.

The external antenna significantly improves the Wi-Fi signal range, which is particularly important when mounting in rooms with reinforced concrete walls or metal structures. The IP65 protection rating guarantees full dust-tightness and resistance to water jets - the relay can be mounted even when directly exposed to rain or pressure washing.

The possibility of connecting a local control button provides additional flexibility - the user decides whether it should be a monostable (bell push), bistable (traditional), or impulse button, and the function is configurable via the mobile application.

Compliance and standards

The device meets the requirements of European standards regarding electromagnetic compatibility and the safety of use of low-voltage electrical equipment. The radio power according to the IEEE 802.11n standard does not exceed 20 dBm, and the receiver sensitivity is as high as -98 dBm, ensuring stable communication even with a weak Wi-Fi signal.

The hermetic design eliminates the risk of condensation inside the enclosure - a typical problem for electronic devices installed in unheated rooms or outdoors throughout the year of operation.
