Smart stair and corridor lighting – stairwell automation AS-220T

The AS-220T stairwell automation is a reliable solution for controlling lighting in communication areas such as stairs, corridors or basements. The device is designed to work with 230V AC circuits and offers functions that increase comfort and safety. Thanks to the ability to adjust the lighting time and dimming level, the operation of the automation can be adapted to individual needs.

Practical functions for installers and users:

• Timed lighting on: Keeps the light on for a set time, providing convenience and safety when moving around in the dark. Lighting time adjustable from 0.5 to 10 minutes.
• Shutdown signal: Informs the user about the upcoming shutdown of the lighting, allowing them to safely reach the switch.
• Anti-blocking function: Prevents the light from staying on continuously if the switch is blocked (e.g. with a match), increasing safety and saving energy. This function can be activated during installation by the installer – by shorting the selection input to the phase voltage or leaving it unconnected. Remember that the anti-blocking function works correctly only in 4-wire installations.
• Possibility of cooperation with motion sensors: After disabling the anti-blocking function, the automation can work with motion sensors, allowing the light to be automatically switched on after motion is detected and switched off when it stops.
• Brightness adjustment: The ability to smoothly adjust the light dimming level in the range of 25-75% allows you to create the right atmosphere and save energy.
• Compatibility with LED lighting: The automation works with phase-controlled dimmable LED lighting, allowing the use of modern and energy-saving light sources.
• Rail mounting: The device is designed for mounting on a standard 35 mm rail, making installation in a distribution box easier.

Construction and technical parameters:

The AS-220T automation has been designed with durability and reliability in mind. It uses a relay and a triac as the actuator, and its housing provides IP20 protection. The device consumes minimal energy (1W) and is adapted to work in a wide temperature range (-25°C to +50°C). Compact dimensions (2 modules – 70mm) allow it to be easily placed in a distribution box. The maximum AC-1 load current is 12A – please remember that this value may be limited depending on the specific installation conditions.

Important notes regarding application:

• The automation does not work with fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps or other lamps with electronic ballasts.
• A 4-wire installation is required for the anti-blocking function to work correctly.
• The automation can work with backlit buttons.
