The off-delay time relays are used to maintain the power supply of the controlled receiver for a specified period of time after the control voltage is lost, e.g. in bathroom ventilation systems, where there is a maintenance of the fan - switched on with lighting - for a specified period of time after the lighting is turned off.
Action
Feeding the control voltage S to the relay causes its actuation and switching on the voltage at the controlled receiver. After the control voltage decay, the operation of the receiver is maintained for the hold time t (set with the potentiometer). After time t, the controlled receiver will be switched off automatically. In case the control voltage S is re-applied before the set time elapses, the relay performs its work functions from the beginning.
