Advanced VPC XXL flexible coupling for sewage installations

The VPC XXL DN1090-1140MM flexible coupling is an advanced solution designed for connecting large-diameter sewage pipes with external diameters from 1090 to 1140 mm. The product belongs to the VPC XXL series, developed specifically for demanding applications in underground infrastructure.

High-quality construction and materials

The coupling consists of three main components: an adjustable sealing collar made of EPDM elastomeric rubber according to DIN EN 681-1 WC/60, a centrally self-aligning plastic centering sleeve, and two V4A stainless steel clamping bands (material number 1.4404). The positioning sleeve is made of high-impact plastic resistant to cracking and the effects of low and high temperatures.

The design allows for a diameter reduction of up to 50 mm while maintaining a uniform reduction process around the entire circumference. The articulated middle section allows for separate reduction to be performed on each side of the coupling. The material is particularly resistant to aggressive substances contained in sewage and soil, as well as the influence of saline seawater.

Versatility and material compatibility

The product is designed to connect pipes made of various materials: cast iron, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PVC-U, stoneware, concrete, and glass-reinforced plastics (GRP). It is effective for both smooth-walled and profiled or corrugated pipes.

The coupling enables stepless adjustment on both sides with guaranteed resistance to shear forces in accordance with DIN 4060 and DIN EN 295 standards. Thanks to the bilateral guidance of the tightening bands, secure transfer of shear forces is ensured without the need for additional leveling rings.

Operational advantages and practical benefits

The multiple double sealing profile with a width of 380 mm (insertion depth of 190 mm on each side) forms the basis of a professional, leak-proof, and secure pipe connection. The cylindrical contact surface with a minimum width of 60 mm on each side ensures a large contact area.

Installation is simple and intuitive thanks to a hybrid tensioner system that eliminates the need for a tangent wrench. The installation process can be carried out from a single position using a torque of 25 Nm controlled by a torque wrench.

The product meets the requirements of the DIBt Z-42.5-450 approval for nominal diameters from DN 100 to DN 2000 and ensures tightness confirmed by MPA institute tests at an internal water pressure of up to 2.5 bar for all diameters.
