Coupling system for large diameter sewers

The VPC XXL flexible coupling DN1320-1370MM is used to connect large diameter sewage pipes with external diameters in the range of 1320-1370mm. The product enables a secure and leak-proof connection of pipes made of various materials - from traditional cast iron and stoneware to modern plastics such as PP, PE, or PVC, as well as concrete and GRP composites.

High-quality construction and components

The VPC XXL system consists of three main elements designed to work together in challenging sewage conditions. The heart of the system is an adjustable sealing flange made of NBR elastomeric rubber, which exhibits resistance to oils and gasoline, as well as the action of aggressive substances contained in sewage. The material shows particular resistance to the influence of saline seawater, which expands the range of applications to coastal installations.

System structural elements

A centrically self-aligning plastic positioning basket provides a stable structural base. Two stainless steel clamping bands allow for bilateral, separate, and smooth adjustment of the connected elements. The design allows for a reduction of up to 50mm, with the diameter reduction process occurring uniformly around the entire circumference.

Versatility of applications and practical benefits

The VPC XXL system eliminates the need for additional compensation rings when there are large differences in the external diameters of the pipes. Bilateral stepless adjustment while transferring shear loads ensures connection stability.

The articulated middle section allows for separate reduction on each side of the coupling, simplifying installation even in hard-to-reach places. The large cylindrical pipe mating surface ensures optimal distribution of clamping forces across the entire contact area.

Operating parameters and environmental resistance

The alloy steel used belongs to grades resistant to corrosion and acids, which translates to reliability in aggressive sewage environments. The sealing sleeve and positioning basket, together with the fastening bands, form a compact yet flexible unit with a stable shape.

The system maintains a neutral position relative to each other during diameter adjustment, preventing the sealing rubber from spreading or wrinkling. The patented solution enables secure band guidance and simplifies installation even for large sewage pipe diameters.
