Universal solution for large sewage diameters

The VPC® XXL flexible coupling is an advanced solution for connecting sewage pipes with large external diameters from 1440 to 1490 mm. The product enables a secure and leak-proof connection of pipes made from various materials - cast iron, polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), PVC, stoneware, concrete, and glass-reinforced plastics (GRP). The design allows for a diameter reduction of up to 50 mm while maintaining full seal integrity.

Innovative design and materials

At the heart of the coupling is a sealing sleeve made of EPDM elastomeric rubber according to the PN-EN 681-1 WC/60 standard, equipped with a multiple double sealing profile. This ensures reliable sealing in accordance with PN-EN 1610 and resistance to oils and gasoline (in the NBR version). A high-impact plastic positioning cage guarantees centric alignment of the connected materials and resistance to cracking across a wide temperature range.

Two V2A stainless steel fastening bands (standard version) or V4A (oil-resistant version) enable bilateral, separate, and stepless diameter adjustment. For the largest diameters, a hybrid tensioner system is used, which allows installation with a torque of 25 Nm while maintaining full control of the clamping force.

Practical advantages and versatility of application

The coupling design eliminates the need for additional leveling rings thanks to stepless adjustment on both sides. A cylindrical contact surface with a minimum width of 60 mm on each side ensures even distribution of forces during installation. A bilateral band guide channel guarantees secure seating and stability during operation.

The product is effective both for the renovation of existing sewage networks and for the construction of new sections. It is particularly useful for repairing damaged conduits and creating transitions between pipes with different external diameters of the same nominal diameter. The coupling maintains a neutral position of the sealing elements relative to each other, preventing rubber folding during installation.

Installation and technical requirements

Installation requires the use of a torque wrench to maintain the correct torque. For diameters above DN 275, the use of a tangential wrench is necessary. The diameter reduction process occurs uniformly around the entire circumference while maintaining the centric alignment of the elements. The articulated middle part allows for separate reduction on each side of the coupling.

The product holds the DIBt Z-42.5-450 certificate for nominal diameters from 100 to 2000 mm and a leak-tightness certificate up to a pressure of 2.5 bar confirmed by the MPA institute. Storage requires ensuring ventilation in enclosed rooms and protection against intense UV radiation in open spaces.
