Electric heating kit for DHW heat exchangers

The GE electric kit with a heating element is a solution for heating domestic hot water, both outside the heating season and as a supplement during it. Designed to work with Galmet DHW heat exchangers, it offers a power of 9 kW at a voltage of 400V. Mounting is done using a flange with a diameter of 280 mm, which ensures a stable and tight connection.

Construction and functionality

The construction of the kit has been designed with safety and efficiency in mind. It contains all the necessary elements for proper operation:

• Metal flange: with a diameter of 280 mm with a place for 12 M14 screws – provides solid mounting to the heat exchanger.
• Gasket: guarantees a tight connection, eliminating the risk of leaks.
• Thermostat with wires: allows precise temperature regulation of the water in the range of 25-77°C, adapting it to individual needs.
• Thermal protection: protects against overheating and boiling of the water, increasing safety.
• Sensor cover: protects the delicate element from mechanical damage.
• Heating element with washers: made of high-quality materials, ensures efficient water heating.
• Place for magnesium anode: allows mounting an anode, which protects the heat exchanger from biological corrosion – this is especially important in installations with hard water.
• Plastic housing: protects internal components from moisture and external damage.
• 400V electrical cable: adapted to the mains voltage, ensures safe connection to the electrical installation.

Application and benefits

The GE electric kit works in various situations:

• DHW heating: ideal as an additional heat source in periods of low temperatures or failure of the main heating system.
• Heating support: allows faster water heating during high demand (e.g. during a bath).
• Installations without access to gas: it is an alternative solution for water heating in places where there is no possibility of connecting natural gas or other gaseous fuel.
