The Galmet 25x390 magnesium anode with a 5/4" plug is a key element protecting hot water tanks against corrosion. Its task is to protect the inner surface of the tank, which extends its lifespan and ensures access to clean water. The anode, gradually consuming, "absorbs" corrosion, protecting the steel of the tank – a proven method, especially important in hard water.

Dedicated to popular models

This anode is dedicated to tanks with a capacity of 120-140 liters, specifically to SGW(S) Mini Tower and SG(S) FUSION models (produced after 08.2013). It also fits older models 26-104000, 26-124000 and 26-144000 manufactured after August 2013. The 5/4" plug ensures easy installation and a tight connection.

Construction and replacement

The anode consists of a magnesium anode (M-000005), a brass plug (40-300111) and an O-ring (M-000075). The anode should be replaced regularly, every 18-24 months, to maintain full corrosion protection and maintain the manufacturer's tank warranty. Regular inspection of the anode condition is a simple operation that can save costly repairs in the future. Remember to use a socket wrench size 38 to tighten the anode.
