Corrosion protection for your tank

Magnesium anode is a key element protecting water tanks from corrosion. Its task is to protect the metal elements of the installation through galvanic corrosion – the anode "sacrifices" itself, corroding instead of the protected elements. This magnesium anode with a diameter of 38 mm and a length of 400 mm, equipped with a 5/4” plug, is designed for mounting in domestic water tanks, providing long-lasting protection against the harmful effects of corrosion.

Design and application

The anode is made of high-quality magnesium, which guarantees effective cathodic protection. The set also includes a brass 5/4” plug, O-ring and anode/plug gasket, which facilitates installation and ensures a tight connection. Thanks to this, the installation is simple and does not require specialized tools – only a 38 mm socket wrench is needed to tighten the anode.

The anode is compatible with a wide range of Galmet tanks, including models SG(S)200l, 300l, 400l, SGW(S)200l, 250l, 300l, 400l, SGW(S)SLIM and SGW(S)B SLIM with capacities from 200 to 1000 liters. It is particularly important to pay attention to its use in tanks manufactured after August 1, 2013, as well as in SGW(S)SLIM and SGW(S)B SLIM models with a capacity of 800 and 1000 liters, where it is mounted in the bottom of the tank. It will also work in Basic 270 and Basic 300 tanks.
