Gas detector testing kit GAZEX

This kit, catalog number CHS-03, is designed to check the correct operation of GAZEX gas detectors. It is a key element in the maintenance process and ensuring the reliability of gas detection systems, both for professional installers and end-users responsible for safety. The kit allows you to verify the detector's reaction to specific test gases, which is essential to confirm its functionality.

Kit components and their application

The CHS-03 kit contains a number of components that work together to provide comprehensive testing:

• TC test nozzle: Used to supply test gas directly to the detector's measuring chamber. Various nozzle models (TC-DEX, TC-DG, TC2-WG) are available to suit specific types of GAZEX detectors (DEX/F, DEX/P, DEX/A, DG/F, DG/M, DG/MR, DG/P, DG/PV, DG-P/M, DG-P/MR and WG.EG, WG.EGx, WG.NG, WG.EN, DG.EN, DG.EN/M).

• CHS-03 gas humidifier: A key element when testing detectors with a semiconductor sensor. The humidifier ensures adequate humidification of the test gas before it is supplied to the detector – which affects the accuracy of the measurement and the reliability of the results. It consists of a polycarbonate container and a hose for non-reactive gases with a length of 0.5m. The kit also includes a container for the humidifying solution.

• CFR-05 regulator: Maintains a constant test gas flow rate of 0.5 l/minute and has a pressure gauge. It is mounted directly on the test gas cylinder (available separately).

• BTL-025 container: Designed for a humidifying solution with a capacity of 250 ml – factory-filled with 100g of dry NaCl (sodium chloride).

• CRC-2 case: A practical leather-like bag facilitates the transport and storage of the entire kit – it contains a compartment for the cylinder with a regulator and pockets for the remaining elements.

Important information regarding use and safety

The CHS-03 kit has been designed with ease of use and safety in mind when testing gas detectors. Remember a few key aspects:

• For detectors with a semiconductor sensor, it is necessary to use the CHS-03 humidifier.

• TC test nozzles can be used in potentially explosive areas (1 or 2) for gases of group IIA or IIB (in accordance with WE Type Examination Certificate No. KDB 04ATEX133X).

• When carrying and using the humidifier, maintain a vertical position – to avoid spilling the humidifying solution.

• Protect the kit from dust, moisture and flooding – to ensure its long-term efficiency.

• Keep the TC nozzle and the inside of the hoses clean – to avoid contaminants affecting the test results.
