Methane gas detector – reliable protection in enclosed spaces
This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of methane concentration in enclosed spaces. The device signals exceeding two alarm thresholds, ensuring a quick response in case of danger. It is a key element of safety systems in industrial, commercial and residential facilities where there is a risk of gas leakage.
The DEX-1R2/N-Nstd detector uses an infrared (IR) sensor, which guarantees high measurement accuracy and resistance to interference. The brass housing provides durability and corrosion resistance, even in harsh environmental conditions. The possibility of custom calibration allows you to adapt the device to specific needs and application requirements. F4-C execution means a specific detector configuration, optimizing its operation in specific working conditions.
Construction features and application
The detector has been designed with safety requirements in mind in areas at risk of explosion. It meets the requirements of Directive ATEX 2014/34/UE, which confirms its suitability in potentially explosive atmospheres. The explosion-proof flameproof enclosure allows installation in zones 1 or 2 at risk of explosion of flammable gases or vapors (IIA, IIB, IIC), as well as various temperature classes (T1-T6).
The device finds application everywhere where there is a risk of methane leakage:
- In industrial plants processing natural gas
- In mines and mining
- In sewage treatment plants
- In gas boiler rooms
- In chemical laboratories
- In storage spaces with flammable materials
Advantages and benefits of use
- High measurement accuracy: The IR sensor ensures precise detection of methane, minimizing the risk of false alarms.
- Durability and resistance: The brass housing protects the device from mechanical damage and corrosion.
- Calibration possibility: Adjusting the detector's sensitivity to specific working conditions ensures optimal performance.
- ATEX compliance: Safety of use in potentially explosive areas confirmed by a certificate.
- Modular construction: Replaceable sensor modules facilitate servicing and maintenance of the device and allow adaptation to different needs.
- Accredited calibration laboratory: GAZEX has its own laboratory accredited according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025, which guarantees the reliability of measurements and calibrations.
