Gas detector – reliable protection against CO and NO2
This economical gas detector DG-20.EN/M-Nstd is designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) concentrations in various environments. The device combines measurement accuracy, reliable operation and easy integration with monitoring systems. It is an ideal solution for both industry and public utility facilities where safety is a priority.
Functionality and application
The DG-20.EN/M-Nstd detector uses electrochemical sensors to measure CO and NO2 concentrations, providing accurate results even in difficult conditions. If the defined alarm thresholds are exceeded, the detector signals the hazard optically and sends information to the central supervisory module via the RS-485 interface (MODBUS RTU protocol). This allows for quick response to potential hazards and minimization of risks to health and life.
The device finds application in:
- industrial plants and logistics centers,
- public utility facilities (hospitals, schools, hotels),
- large rooms exposed to emissions of toxic gases,
- underground garages – ventilation control and warning of CO or LPG/CNG presence,
- rooms with oxygen therapy or HFNO – monitoring oxygen concentration.
Construction and user features
The detector is characterized by a solid construction with a splash-proof housing (IP43), which ensures its durability even in demanding working conditions. Two cable glands facilitate the serial connection of detectors in a network. The replaceable sensor module simplifies maintenance, calibration and reduces operating costs. Additionally, the built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation, temperature compensation and semi-automatic addressing on the network. Configuration of settings is done using the dedicated "DETnet View" software.
It is worth noting:
- RS-485 communication with MODBUS RTU protocol – enables easy integration with existing building and industrial automation systems;
- three alarm thresholds for gas concentrations – allow precise adjustment of the detector's sensitivity to the specifics of the given environment;
- possibility of remote monitoring, identification and diagnostics of all detectors in the network;
- built-in optical alarm signaling;
- calibration in its own GAZEX Accredited Calibration Laboratory compliant with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA No. AP150).
