Gas detector – reliable protection and control

The DG-28.EN/M-Nstd gas detector is an economical, digital device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) and carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations in rooms. Its task is to detect dangerous levels of these gases and ensure an appropriate response, which translates into the safety of people in a given place and the protection of installations. The device uses two types of sensors – semiconductor (p-p) for CO detection and infrared (IR) for CO2 measurement, which guarantees the accuracy and reliability of measurements.

Functionality and application

The DG-28.EN/M-Nstd detector finds application in a wide range of facilities, such as industrial plants, logistics centers, public utility facilities, hotels, and in enclosed spaces exposed to the emission of harmful gases. Thanks to RS485 communication with the MODBUS RTU protocol, the detector enables remote monitoring, identification and diagnostics of all devices on the network. In the event of exceeding defined alarm thresholds, optical signaling is activated and information is sent to the central supervisory module MDD-256/T. This allows for a quick response and minimization of the risk associated with the presence of dangerous gases.

Construction and characteristic features

The device is characterized by a solid construction with a splash-proof housing (IP43), which ensures its durability even in difficult working conditions. It has two cable glands to facilitate the serial connection of subsequent detectors. A replaceable sensor module simplifies maintenance and reduces operating costs. Detector settings are configured using dedicated configuration software „DETnet”. GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which confirms the high quality and accuracy of measurements. It is worth emphasizing the possibility of configuring three alarm thresholds for CO and CO2, which allows you to adapt the detector's operation to the specific needs of a given facility.
