Gas Detectors – Reliable Protection and Control
The DG-31/M gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of organic compounds in the air. It is a key element of gas detection systems, providing a quick response to potential hazards in industrial plants, logistics centers, public facilities, and large rooms. The device uses a semiconductor sensor, which guarantees high sensitivity and measurement accuracy.
Construction and Communication
The DG-31/M detector is characterized by a modular design, allowing the sensor module to be replaced if necessary. This simplifies maintenance, simplifies calibration, and reduces operating costs. Communication is via an RS-485 port with the MODBUS RTU protocol, allowing integration with digital monitoring systems and remote data reading. A built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and device reliability.
Application and Benefits
- Wide range of applications: ideal for monitoring the concentration of organic compounds in various industrial and commercial environments.
- Replaceable sensor module: quick and easy replacement of a damaged sensor without the need to replace the entire detector – saving time and costs.
- RS-485 communication: enables easy integration with existing monitoring and control systems.
- High measurement accuracy: the semiconductor sensor ensures precise determination of gas concentration.
- Splash-proof housing (IP44): increased resistance to weather conditions and mechanical damage, allowing installation in difficult environmental conditions.
- Two cable glands: facilitate the connection of subsequent detectors in a network, creating an extended monitoring system.
- LED optical signaling: quick identification of an alarm thanks to clear light signaling.
- Configuration options: the detector settings can be adapted to specific application needs using dedicated configuration software “DETnet View”.
- Calibration: all detectors are calibrated in their own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory, operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation no. AP150), which guarantees the reliability of measurements.
Technical Specifications
The device is powered by 24 V= voltage and its dimensions are 110 x 140 x 55 mm. Standard alarm thresholds for this model are 20/40/(50) %LEL (percent Lower Explosive Limit). The detector has a built-in optical signal and an RS-485 standard output. It should be remembered that the device is not intended for use in areas at risk of explosion of gases, vapors or dust – it is a device of conventional construction.
