Functionality and Application

Detectors from the DG/F series, to which this model belongs, are a universal solution for monitoring the presence of toxic gases. They are designed to work with various control modules, such as MD-1.A/T, MD-1, MD-2, MD-4, MDP-1.A/T, MDP-1 PLUS, MDP-4, MDP-8 and MDP-16. Thanks to the replaceable sensor module with two alarm thresholds (TWA/STEL), the device provides effective protection against exceeding permissible ammonia concentrations. Optical signaling of the operating status facilitates quick identification of potential hazards. The detector finds application in wastewater treatment plants, refrigeration plants, agriculture and anywhere where there is a risk of ammonia leakage.

Construction and Characteristic Features

The device is characterized by a solid construction with a splash-proof ABS housing (IP44), which ensures its resistance to harsh industrial conditions. The replaceable sensor module not only facilitates calibration and repairs, but also allows changing the detector model in the future – adapting it to changing needs. The use of electrochemical sensors guarantees high selectivity and measurement accuracy in the range up to 100 ppm. The device is powered by the system and has two binary (threshold) outputs. It is worth emphasizing that the detector is not intended for use in areas at risk of explosion of gases or dusts – this is a device of conventional construction. All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Accredited Calibration Laboratory accredited in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which confirms their high quality and measurement reliability.
