Ammonia Gas Detector – Reliable Monitoring and Protection
This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of ammonia concentration in various industrial and public utility environments. The device, based on an electrochemical sensor, provides fast and precise detection, which is crucial for ensuring safety and protecting health. The DG-4E1/M-Nstd detector is designed to operate in harsh conditions, in a temperature range from -40°C, making it an ideal solution for both indoor and outdoor facilities.
Functionality and Application
The DG/M detector is part of a digital gas detection system, enabling continuous control of ammonia concentration. When defined alarm thresholds are exceeded, the device generates a signal on the RS-485 network and activates built-in LEDs, warning of a potential hazard. Thanks to RS-485 communication with the MODBUS RTU protocol, the detector easily integrates with existing monitoring and control systems. A replaceable sensor module simplifies maintenance and reduces operating costs – replacing a damaged sensor is quick and easy. The device finds application in industrial plants, logistics centers, and public utility facilities where there is a risk of ammonia emissions.
Construction and Characteristic Features
The detector is characterized by a solid construction with a housing with IP44 protection, which ensures resistance to splashing. Two cable glands facilitate connecting multiple detectors in a series system. A built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and thermal compensation of measurements. Additionally, the device has a history of alarm states and a semi-automatic addressing function in a digital network. It is worth emphasizing that all GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own laboratory accredited according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees high measurement accuracy. Calibration on request <100ppm ensures optimal adaptation to the specific needs of the user.
