The DG-8R8.EN/M-Nstd gas detector is an economical device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in enclosed spaces. It utilizes an infrared (IR) sensor, ensuring precise and reliable measurement. This detector is particularly useful in places where CO2 level control is crucial for safety and comfort, such as boiler rooms, underground garages, vehicle inspection stations, or production halls.

Functionality and Application

The device is designed to work with various control modules, such as MD-1.A/T, MD-1, MD-2, MD-4, MDP-1.A/T, MDP-1 PLUS, MDP-4, MDP-8, MDP-16, and addressable modules MDD-1, MDD-1/T and MDD-1x/T. Communication is via the RS485 interface (MODBUS RTU protocol), enabling easy integration with monitoring and control systems. A built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation and temperature compensation of measurements. The detector signals exceeding the alarm thresholds of CO2 concentration using a built-in optical indicator.

Construction and Characteristic Features

The DG-8R8.EN/M-Nstd detector is characterized by a solid construction and splash-proof housing (IP43 in the recommended mounting position). A replaceable sensor module facilitates maintenance and calibration of the device, reducing operating costs. The TEST button for outputs makes it easy to check the correct operation of the detector during installation and operation. It can optionally be equipped with a protective cover made of AR-1 profiled pipes in places exposed to mechanical damage. The device is factory calibrated in its own GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory accredited according to PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (accreditation PCA No. AP150), which guarantees measurement accuracy. The detector is powered by a 24V= system.

The detector has been designed to monitor carbon dioxide (CO2) using an optical sensor (Infra-Red). Communication with the system is via the RS485 interface using the MODBUS RTU protocol. The device has two bistable (threshold) outputs and requires a 24V= power supply. Its dimensions are 110 x 140 x 55 mm, and the degree of protection is IP43. The measurement range of the detector is 0.5 / 1.5 %v/v.
