Gas detector DG-8R8/N-Nstd CO2, calibration on request <2 %v/v, recommended temperature range 0-45 °C, IR sensor DG-8R8/N-NSTD
Carbon dioxide detection for safety and comfort
This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in rooms. It utilizes proven optical sensor technology (IR), ensuring precise and reliable measurements. The device is particularly useful in places where the accumulation of CO2 can pose a health or comfort hazard – from industrial halls, through offices, to greenhouses and livestock buildings.
Functionality and application
The DG-8R8/N-Nstd detector is a threshold device, meaning it signals exceeding defined CO2 concentration levels. It has two programmable alarm thresholds, set during production, and an additional threshold signaled optically, corresponding to the upper measurement range of the sensor. This allows for quick response to potential hazards and ensuring adequate ventilation. The device is compatible with MD and MDP series control modules, enabling integration with alarm systems and building management.
Construction and user features
The detector is characterized by a solid construction and easy installation. A splash-proof housing (IP44 in the recommended mounting position) protects the internal components from moisture and contamination. A replaceable sensor module facilitates calibration and servicing of the device, and also allows it to be adapted to specific application needs. A built-in LED indicates the detector's operating status and alarms. Power is supplied via an external system (24V~), simplifying electrical installation. Compact dimensions (110 x 140 x 55 mm) allow for discreet mounting in various locations.
- IR sensor: Provides high precision in carbon dioxide measurements.
- Factory calibration: The device is factory calibrated to a range of up to 2% by volume, guaranteeing reading accuracy.
- Temperature range: The optimal operating range is 0-45°C, making it suitable for most indoor environments.
- Two alarm thresholds: Allow flexible adjustment to individual needs and safety standards.
- Replaceable sensor: Facilitates servicing and calibration of the device, reducing operating costs.
- Calibration: All GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own laboratory accredited in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation no. AP150).
- Optical signaling: A built-in LED informs about the detector's operating status and exceeding alarm thresholds.
