Methane detector – reliable safety in enclosed spaces

This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of methane concentration in enclosed spaces, such as garages, underground car parks, vehicle inspection stations or warehouses. Its task is to detect dangerous gas levels early and activate an alarm, allowing for a quick response and preventing potential hazards. The device uses a selective semiconductor sensor, providing precise measurements and minimizing the risk of false alarms.

Functionality and application

The WG-14.EG/A24 detector is an autonomous device that does not require complicated configuration. The built-in microprocessor ensures stable operation, temperature compensation and event logging. If defined alarm thresholds are exceeded, optical signaling is activated and control outputs are activated – allowing connection of additional alarm devices or ventilation systems. Thanks to the replaceable gas sensor, the operation of the detector is simple and economical.

Construction and mounting

The detector is housed in a solid, splash-proof enclosure (IP54), which ensures its durability and resistance to mechanical damage. Compact dimensions (80 x 195 x 68 mm) facilitate mounting on the wall or ceiling. All terminals are removable, simplifying the connection of multi-wire cables. 24V DC power supply ensures stable operation of the device in various conditions. The detector is calibrated in the GAZEX laboratory accredited in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA No. AP150), which guarantees the accuracy of measurements. The ability to connect additional detectors via control outputs expands the functionality of the gas monitoring system.
