Methane detector WG-14.EG – reliable explosion protection
The WG-14.EG gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of methane concentration in enclosed spaces. The use of a semiconductor sensor ensures selective measurement, eliminating the risk of false alarms caused by other gases. The detector is particularly useful in garages, vehicle inspection stations and warehouses, where there is a potential risk of explosion or gas accumulation.
Functionality and application
The device constantly analyzes the level of methane in the air and, when defined thresholds are exceeded (10%, 20% or 30% LEL), activates an optical alarm signal and activates control outputs. This allows for a quick response to the threat and activation of safety systems, such as ventilation or gas shut-off. The WG-14.EG detector is used not only in places where leaks may occur, but also where methane concentration control is required for safety and legal reasons.
Design and characteristics
The detector has been designed with ease of installation and use in mind. The built-in microprocessor ensures reliability and stability of operation, and the thermal compensation system minimizes the impact of temperature changes on measurement accuracy. The replaceable gas sensor simplifies maintenance and reduces operating costs. The one-piece, splash-proof housing (IP54) protects the device from mechanical damage and weather conditions. 230V power supply facilitates integration with existing electrical infrastructure. In addition, GAZEX detectors are calibrated in an accredited laboratory, which guarantees their accuracy and compliance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standards. It has three touch control outputs and a "Fault" output, allowing for flexible adaptation to different alarm and control system configurations.
