Methane detector – reliable protection against explosion

This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of methane concentration in enclosed spaces. The device signals exceeding permissible norms with both optical and acoustic signals, and also activates control outputs. This is crucial for ensuring safety in potentially hazardous environments such as garages, boiler rooms or machine rooms.

The WG-14.EGx/A24-Nstd detector uses a semiconductor methane sensor, which is characterized by high selectivity and measurement accuracy. This minimizes the risk of false alarms caused by other gases. The device is powered by 24V DC, which facilitates integration with existing control and power systems. The possibility of connecting an external siren expands the alarm signaling capabilities, especially in large facilities or in places with a high noise level.

The WG-14.EGx/A24-Nstd detector finds wide application in various industrial and public utility facilities:

Design and operation

The detector has been designed with ease of installation and operation in mind. The one-piece, splash-proof housing (IP54) ensures durability and resistance to environmental conditions. The replaceable gas sensor guarantees low operating costs – sensor replacement is simple and does not require specialized knowledge. The device is fully automatic and requires no adjustments after startup. Additionally, GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees high measurement accuracy and reliability of results.
