This gas detector is designed for continuous monitoring of methane concentration in enclosed spaces. The device, using a semiconductor sensor, provides fast and precise detection, and a built-in microprocessor guarantees stable and reliable operation. The WG-14.EGx/A24 detector is an ideal solution for both security system installers and users looking for effective protection against the risk of explosion or gas poisoning.

Functionality and application

The detector is intended for installation in places where methane may occur, such as:

• underground garages and parking lots – automatic ventilation control to maintain a safe gas level;
• solid fuel boiler rooms – protection against gas accumulation in the event of a leak in the installation;
• rooms with air conditioning and refrigeration equipment – monitoring potential refrigerant leaks;
• vehicle inspection stations – ensuring safe working conditions by controlling the concentration of exhaust gases.

The device signals exceeding the permissible methane concentration levels both visually (built-in indicator) and audibly (built-in sounder). Additionally, it has three programmable relay outputs, allowing connection of external alarm devices or ventilation control systems. The possibility of connecting an external 12V=/80mA siren (e.g., SL-32) expands the functionality of the device.

Construction and technical parameters

The detector is enclosed in a solid, splash-proof housing (80 x 195 x 68 mm), which ensures its durability and resistance to environmental conditions. 24V= power supply allows for easy integration with existing power systems. A replaceable gas sensor facilitates servicing and reduces operating costs. The device is factory calibrated and referenced in its own GAZEX Calibration Laboratory, operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees high measurement accuracy.

The detector offers three alarm thresholds that can be adjusted to individual needs. The "Fault" output indicates problems with the device's operation or the need for sensor calibration. The connection terminals are removable, making it easier to install multi-strand wires. A built-in microprocessor ensures reliable operation and a thermal compensation circuit for stable readings.
