Gas detector – reliable protection against carbon monoxide poisoning
The WG-22.EGx/A-Nstd gas detector is an indispensable device for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) concentration in rooms. Its main task is to detect the dangerous gas early on, which is odorless and invisible, and its high concentration can lead to serious poisoning, even death. The detector is designed for both home and professional use – it will be useful in garages, boiler rooms, rooms with heating devices or in places with a potential risk of CO poisoning.
Functionality and application
The device is based on a precise semiconductor sensor, which ensures reliable measurements of carbon monoxide concentration. When defined alarm thresholds are exceeded, the detector signals the hazard both visually (built-in light signaling) and acoustically (built-in or external siren). The ability to connect an external siren increases the effectiveness of alerting in the event of a need to alarm a larger number of people. Detector calibration on request allows it to be adapted to the specific requirements of a given facility.
The WG-22.EGx/A-Nstd detector finds application in:
- garages and underground parking lots – ventilation control
- boiler rooms with solid, liquid or gas fuel furnaces
- rooms with refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump equipment
- truck loading zones
- rooms with a risk of excessive oxygen concentration (oxygen therapy)
Construction and characteristic features
The detector is enclosed in a solid housing (IP54), resistant to splashing, which increases its durability and reliability. The built-in microprocessor is responsible for controlling all device functions, ensuring stable operation and temperature compensation of measurements. The replaceable sensor guarantees low operating costs – if necessary, it can be easily replaced with a new one. The device is powered by 12V DC, which provides flexibility in choosing a power source. It has three standard NO (normally open) relay outputs, which allow integration with ventilation systems or other alarm devices. GAZEX detectors are calibrated in their own laboratory accredited in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (accreditation PCA No. AP150), which confirms the high quality and accuracy of measurements.
