Gas detector – reliable protection against carbon monoxide poisoning
The WG-22.EGx/A24-Nstd gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) concentration in premises. Its main task is to detect dangerous levels of this gas early on, which is crucial for ensuring the safety of people and animals. The device is used both in domestic and industrial installations where there is a risk of CO formation.
Functionality and application
The WG-22.EGx/A24-Nstd detector uses a semiconductor sensor to precisely measure CO concentration. When defined alarm thresholds are exceeded (30/60/150 ppm), visual and acoustic signaling is activated – a built-in siren or the possibility of connecting an external one. This immediately informs the user of the hazard. The device is particularly useful in:
- garages and underground parking lots – ventilation control,
- boiler rooms with solid, liquid or gas fuel furnaces,
- rooms with refrigeration and air conditioning equipment,
- heavy vehicle loading zones,
- rooms with nitrous oxide (HFNO).
Construction and mounting
The detector is enclosed in a solid, splash-proof housing (IP54), which ensures its durability and resistance to environmental conditions. All terminals are removable with a lock, which facilitates and speeds up the installation of multi-core cables. The device is powered by 24V DC, and its compact dimensions (80 x 195 x 68 mm) allow for discreet mounting in various locations. It is worth emphasizing that the detector has three standard NO type contact outputs and the possibility of configuring the A3 output as a failure signal or an additional set of alarm contacts. The built-in microprocessor ensures reliable operation, temperature compensation and automatic device operation. The gas sensor is easily replaceable, which translates into low operating costs. Additionally, the detectors are calibrated in the GAZEX laboratory accredited according to the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA AP150), which guarantees high measurement accuracy.
